When it comes to applying for a job, everybody talks about CVs en motivation letters. We often forget that for a lot of applicants there is another step in the process: assessments.
By using online and offline assessments, employers test the personality and capabilities of potential new employees before inviting them to a job interview. Because the outcomes of your test will to a large extent decide whether you are invited for a personal interview or not, it is essential that you know how to nail them and that you practice a lot!
In this workshop, we will cover several topics. First, we will discuss different types of assessment tests that are most commonly used at the moment. Among these are personality tests, language skills tests, numeric abilities tests, abstract thinking tests, and simulation tasks. We will discuss the basic tips and tricks to handle all of these, take some time to practice ourselves, and afterwards reflect on how we did. Then, we will take a look at the assessment techniques which are used during job interviews and how you can manage them. Lastly, we will simulate a setting in which you would not be tested individually but together with other applicants: a group assessment.
In short, this workshop will teach you the basics of assessments in the form of tests, interviews, and group assignments. Ideally, you will walk out of the workshop knowing how to ace those tests and show your interviewer the skills they are looking for while remaining honest and true to yourself!
Also available in Dutch on the 29th of November from 13:00-15:00.
