You will learn what constitutes a good presentation as well as how to apply presentation skills that facilitate learning of the presented content. With help of psychological theories on intonation, eye contact, and posture, we will dive deeper into how we can use our body language to engage the audience and keep them actively participating.
Next to this, this workshop will teach the fundamentals of pitching with a focus on the professional sphere. Sometimes you as a student have to give this presentation in a short amount of time, also called a pitch. It can be a pitch about yourself to an employer or pitch a newly founded project. How can you as a student or recent graduate pitch yourself to an employer? What are the 4 pillars of pitching? What are the do’s and don'ts? What is a Value Proposition Statement and why is it important when pitching?
Once you finish this workshop, you will have learned both how to keep an audience actively engaged and how to sell yourself and your skills!
